thursday oct 2.

so this is the view from my bedroom. it looks down at the courtyard thats in the middle of our complex. out the other room's window is via vigevano, a busy street with restaurants, pharmacies, and a school. this was one of a few signs hanging outside the school today.

this one translates to, 'we want a school with the bows.'

there are people in the middle of il duomo square who put dried corn in your hand and pigeons fly up and eat off your hand. its disgusting. then the people want you to give them euro. its quite possibly the laziest, most clever way to get tourists to hand out money.

il duomo is absolutely unimaginable. ive never been around so much energy in such a historic location. ill post some of those pictures later, there are lots.

this was on the way back from il duomo. unique contrast of the historic and modern.

and this is a little mural right outside our apartments on via vigevano.

we also had a 2 hour crash course in italian today and it was so beneficial. we continue to have them throughout the first couple weeks, so hopefully by the end of the month i should have no issues with most daily communication.
